Services

  • Determination of damage (before/after), known as architectural conservation of evidence
  • Documentation of changes to the groundwater (hydrogeological conservation of evidence)
  • Documentation of changes in height (subsidence) and other displacements (geodetic conservation of evidence)
  • Monitoring of earth tremors

Depending on the situation of the case, the above services are either all rendered by BFM, or specialised offices are involved, especially in connection with land surveying services and earth tremor measurements. In such cases, BFM coordinates the conservation of evidence.

conservation of evidence

Examining the condition of existing buildings and facilities and determining previous damage in advance often becomes necessary in connection with building activities and teardowns. On the one hand, this helps to fend off unjustified damage claims; on the other hand, the type and scope of any justified claims can be documented at an early stage.

On a small scale, such conservation of evidence can be concentrated on adjoining facade and traffic areas; however, it can also comprise the detailed assessment and recording of entire building complexes.
